The artist and craftsman that started the whole trend. Greg Kassen’s River® Tables collection is hard to miss- a deep fluorescent blue winding around burl maple and punctuated by silky glass- and spawned a social media moment of mimickers.

Mesmerizing is the word. These stunning pieces capture the essence of nature in a functional and undeniably artistic way. In fact, you may have seen something similar on social media, but don’t be fooled by the impostors, Greg Klassen was the original creator.

Looking at the piece as a whole, you can imagine looking from space at the rugged terrain in golden beige while the river cuts away jagged cliffs and rocky edges. These tables are more than just furniture; they are conversation starters, focal points, and works of art that blend the scale of the heavens with the beauty in the present. Okay, I’ll stop with the hyperbole, but I’m still mesmerized.

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, you may be able to see the inspiration of the rugged topography that comes alive in his art.

As a craftsman of original pieces, he signs and dates each one with a certificate of authenticity. Klassen is committed to working as an independent studio artist and craftsman so these one-of-a-kind pieces will be cherished and inspired for years to come.

Become an expert in your craft.  Always experiment.  Be original.  Put people before profits.  Do the work you’re excited about.
